On June 21, the Chamber celebrated the graduation of the 30th Leadership Duluth class. The class completed the 11-month leadership development program that focuses on educating participants about Duluth’s cultural and business history, along with current issues facing the region. Leadership Duluth class members committed to one full day of leadership training per month throughout the program year. Topics included: Culture and Heritage, Human and Community Service, Health Care, Courts and Law, Economic Opportunity, Local Advocacy, Sustainability, Infrastructure, Tourism and Leadership. Through a structured series of educational and hands-on opportunities, they have come to understand the inner-workings of these components and how they contribute to the Duluth area’s overall health.
The forty-seven class members are now a part of a new community resource – an influential group of leaders with the motivation and the ability to execute important community initiatives. These individuals are committed to being influential mentors, strong business partners and dedicated community members. Please help me congratulate this devoted group of local citizens.
